Posted by _lecro_ on Thu Jun 10, 2010 9:16 am On June 9th, VIP Map Pack 3 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 bringing new modes to Nelson Bay and Laguna Alta.
Fight for control of the M3A3 Bradley and achieve supremacy against 3 other squads as Nelson Bay is enhanced with Squad Deathmatch mode.
Use all of your squad skills and tactics to secure M-COM stations as Laguna Alta is enhanced with Squad Rush mode.
The map pack is available with the VIP code which is included in every new copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Players that do not have a code can purchase one via the in-game store.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, PC will get the maps available for all players after the release of the next update without the need for a VIP code.
For the first time in the game’s 10-year history, Medal of Honor is leaving the WWII theatre and putting players in war-torn Afghanistan. In 2010, Medal of Honor, will introduce the Tier 1 Operator: a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle. Today we’re happy to announce the release date of the second VIP map package for Battlefield: Bad Company 2! It will be made available on the 30th of March on all platforms at no extra cost to all of you who’ve got your VIP codes entered in the game. VIP Map Pack 2 contains the following:
VIP Map Pack 2 will expand the multiplayer experience on Arica Harbor and Laguna Presa.
Arica Harbor Conquest mode - US Command launches a break through action directly at the Russian base. Collateral damage is of no consequence. Capture and secure tactical positions in Conquest Mode across the vast Arica Harbor map.
Laguna Presa Rush mode - The valley and surrounding mountains possess a strategic value in the battle for South America, and an infantry assault supported by light armor vehicles is likely by both armies as US forces defend the nearby Dam.
Battlefield Bad Company™ 2 brings the spectacular Battlefield gameplay to the forefront of next-gen consoles and PC, featuring best-in-class vehicular combat set across a wide range of huge sandbox maps each with a different tactical focus. New vehicles like the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and the UH-60 transport helicopter allow for all-new multiplayer tactics in the warzone. Extensive fine-tuning ensures that this will be the most realistic vehicle combat experience to date. Tactical destruction is taken to new heights with the updated DICE Frostbite engine. In March 1982, Argentine scrap metal workers landed at Leith Harbour, in South Georgia, and raised the Argentine flag. A fortnight later, Argentine troops invaded the Falklands Islands, triggering a 74-day conflict with Britain.
On the 5th April 1982, a large British task force set out on a 7500 mile journey to liberate the group of tiny windswept islands in the South Atlantic. On 1st May began the biggest naval action to take place since the Second World War - more than 1000 men lost their lives.
Since then, the Falkland Islands have flourished, both economically and socially, and are still a dependent territory of Britain, and will remain so for as long as the Islanders wish.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all the brave soldiers who lost there lives preserving our way of life.
