Well ive decided to stick with the I7 for a while yet,
Funds need to go towards a new house ( well most of it )
So first step, smarten up good old xfi card with a back plate,
AFAIK no one actually makes one so i had to make one up out of a 5970 back plate ,
not perfect but its much improved on a basic PCB

Thread title may have to be changed to Next Episode :P
Ive bought a new toy ....Xeon X5670 hex core
for a tad under 90 quid ... nothing more than a toy really but should give a performance improvement over the old 920. theres beeen talk of 4.5 ghz on water.
Just wish i could find a cheap X58 board to put it in so i could use it as a media centre
