As the title says looking for a soundcard to get away from the usb thing with my headset, any recommendations? is it worth it? looking at max of around £100. Cheers guys!

Well ive had a few of the so called best sound cards and tbh theres certainly not any great difference
atm im using the xfi card that came with my mobo and find it not much better or worse than the top shelf cards.

Most people will tell you that a xonar card is best for music and xfi for gaming which is probably true by a very small margin, so take your pick.But i wouldnt say you will notice that much difference once youve spent over around 60-70 pounds.

Was looking at the recon3d card as a possibility actually. Interesting to hear you say that there is not much difference between them. Think i will pop it on the xmas list in that case! Cheers.

I also use xfi fatality n have to say sound quality is awsome.

makes all that noisy stuff come out of your speakers
usually sounding a bit better then anything your mobo can produce.
