does anyone else think that games devs are getting lazy or are publishers pushing them to hard to get games out faster just wondering what people think?

Perhaps a bit of both TBH. Battlefield was a prime example of the publishers pushing too hard to hit deadlines (COD Ghosts)

it really pissed me off how they are allowed to sell games which are not ready for the consumer. it like buying a new car and only getting half and the dealers says you will get the rest after we make the parts.

we should be getting what we pay for!

Have a look at the stationary AA guns on all the maps. all the different countries have the amrican C-RAM AA cannon AND its on a truck trolly - EVEN ON THE CARRIERS ON ALL MAPS
now this is the most retarded thing i have ever seen. C-RAMS were designed for boats as an automated AA. It is not put on a carrier by a fucking truck, its build INTO it, with an ammobelt being fed directly from below deck...

Retard developers doing a lazy job because they want to make money.
The trailers are bollocks, and they only show the stuff that work - obviously!

take titan mode from 2142 where the objectives where like engines, valves, pipes and computers ect to blow up, carrier assault its a fucking mcom. could have done something great there and they failed. also bf4 is total balls but really cant remember the last AAA title i bought that wasnt broken or needed patching ect.maybe snake 2 on the nokia PDT_Armataz_01_13

Yeah titan was great. Destroy control room 1-4 in order then attack the core. Carrier assault sucks balls IMO.

I must agree that devs are a little lazy these days BUT, it could be argued that it is business. You see, the fact that they use the same automated AA model, same sound effects for various guns in some games and not forgetting the same soundtrack over and over and over, means they can get the game done cheaper and sell at the same price as a full properly done game plus have money for making DLC.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to the games industry being a profit making industry. i do however agree that it is wrong that dev teams are annoyingly lazy in a 2 edged kind of way and release unfinished stuff.

In that case the best idea for them to make a base game and give development tools to the community and let them mod it. like the first BF.

i understand that it people tryign to make money but if you have a good studio which has made many games in the past you would think they would have an idea of how long it would take to make the game and the publisher should give them the time they need. if the game comes out and it is broken that news will spread and only hurt the sales of the game

Half life 2 was amazing and they spent ages on it. They hinted if they did a third to get it to be as good of a difference to the first and second would probably take twice as long to make it.

Yeah think they are just rushed and no one has the balls to say wait the fuck up man it isn't ready.

Its a Capitalist disease. Think about the money and the shareholders before Quality. Just churn em out at a lower quality!

there is no way they could live up the expectation for half life 3. it mainly the publishers to blame becasue they are the ones which that push the game
