Good evening Gentlemen
Please find below, my application to join Strategic Assault Squad. I express my thanks in advance of your review of my application for taking the time to do so.
As per the suggestion in the site forum, I have pasted the questions below and will answer in order as they are listed:
1. Why do you want to join Strategic Assault Squad?
I was originally a recruit within Strategic Assault Squad during BF3, due to a health problem, I was hospitalised suddenly, and when released, stopped playing PC games for a while. When retuning to play BF4, I looked for the SaS server as I had always had a good experience playing within the SaS BF3 server, and was made to feel very welcome the last time round. I am happy to say that my experience in BF4 on the SaS server has been exactly the same, with all of your guys making me feel welcome, and with very fair gameplay on the server itself.
On a side note, I am aware that I have weak points within BF4 as I am still getting used to maps, weapons and such, especially Rush mode, but I am making every effort to learn from others and by my mistakes to make my game play better.
2. Are you joining as a Community or Full Clan Member?
I would be happy to join in either capacity.
3. What is your real name and game name?
My real name is Simon and my game name is Hisgoth
4. What games do you play?
Currently my only focus is BF4, though I have tried the beta for Hardline, but will not be interested unless they develop it into something more than it currently is in beta.
5. How long have you played?
I have been playing PC based games for nearly twenty years, though playing seriously for teams since 2001. At that time, I was playing Combat Flight Sim (the original) and was part of an Anglo-American squad. I then progressed to playing Ghost Recon (again the original) and played within the Total Assault Gaming (TaG) League for a Clan that I was one of the founding members for, Alpha Omega, in which we permanently sat within the top 5 international team in a list of over 500 teams.
After stopping playing GR, I went on to play the original BF series, then BF2 and BF3 while fitting in Call of Duty due to my interest in first person shooters. I have dabbled in the MMORPG scene with WoW and the like, but my heart is in first person shooters, and at this time that is BF4 which I have been playing for around a month now.
6. Where are you located?

7. What other interests or hobbies do you have?
Having once been fixated in computer land, I make sure I have a range of interests to keep me balanced. I enjoy training, both cardio and heavy weights, tattoos (currently in to 54 hours on my back piece), cooking, swimming, boxing, and flying (I am a trainee pilot). I am also a Trustee for a local charity, and spend time during the week supporting their business function. Most of all, I am dad to two boys who are my world, and they are always and will always be number one and come first in everything that I do.
8. How did you find out about Strategic Assault Squad?
I was a previous recruit in BF3
9. What is your current age?
44 physical (20 mental)
10. Would you be willing to help pay for our servers?
I believe that contribution is more than just what you can do when you turn up to play; it is about keeping the group going both in terms of resources and image.
11. How many other clans have you been in, if any, have you been in and why did you leave?
In BF, I have only been a recruit of SaS and not been associated with any other clan or group.
12. Confirm that you have read and fully understand the Clan rules found at the link above.
I can confirm that I have read the clan rules.
13. Confirm that you are fluent in English both spoken and written.
I can confirm that I am fluent in both.
14. Will you attend the next scheduled practise? (if no then explain why)
With the exception of the unforeseen, I will attend all practice that I am required to.
15. Would you be willing to help get our servers running if you are online by either playing or seeding them as and when required?
Absolutely.

Towards the end of your probation you will have to undergo a combat trial.
Further details will follow closer the time,
Additionally, general attitude on game servers, TS and the website will be a major factor in deciding upon your inclusion,
As your going for comms membership its vital that the forum becomes your second home so everyone has a chance to get to know you.
You can now add [SaSr] Tags to your gaming name and on Steam.
NOTE : the TS pass is noobsauce (for the other channels)

Note Steam is mandatory and MUST be used at all times while on sas servers and preferably when ever your online.
Probation will ONLY start once all the admins / captains have got you on Steam.
